At St. Paul's Preschool, we believe that
"Anything you teach indoors can be taught outdoors!"
In the outdoor classroom, children connect to the natural world and learn what nature has to teach us. Nature teaches children essential life skills including patience, resilience, and stewardship by fostering curiosity, creativity, and emotional regulation. It supports cognitive development, reduces stress, and boosts physical health, while promoting an understanding of life cycles, risk assessment, and the interconnectedness of all living things. Children need a connection to nature in order to be whole.

Outside it's a whole new world!
St. Paul's Episcopal Church Preschool in Tustin, founded in 1971, features an acclaimed outdoor classroom recognized as a demonstration site by The Outdoor Classroom Project. We adhere to their quality standards and philosophy. We provide experiences for our students that are inspirational for other preschools. Students spend time daily gardening, working and playing in the mud pit, climbing and swinging in trees, biking, and creating in our mud kitchen.
